Let me catch you up

What has been happening to Haydee these days??? hmmmm.... lets do an update.

And boy did I try to, but I dont get this blogging thing. Why did all of my photos upload reversed??? Can I rearrange them? ahhhhh!

Well, I will do my best to flow these pictures into a beautiful update of my happenings, which pretty much have Nate written into each and every piece.

1st- (really last but because of the photo order thing... eh, you get it) Nate and I spent 4 days in Carmel, CA with his family for Valentine's Day weekend. That place is soooo beautiful and it was a wonderful wonderful trip. Weather was perfection, sun always shining, the big golf tournament was in town so the little town was full of life (but only really at night and inside the restaurants) and his family is so wonderful. We shopped down Ocean Ave, watched movies, played lots of games in the house his parents rented, went to the beach, watched pro golfers, and tried a different amazing restaurant every night... it was paradise.

On the last day of our trip we purposely booked the last flight back to LA so we could spend a day in Monterrey and go to the aquarium. We had such a wonderful day at the aquarium, and also walking around the pier of that darling city. Bellow are some pictures of our finds and vacation...

This was so wonderful. We sat at a lookout in the sun watching seals and dolfins and whales just right there in the wild, it was amazing. As we sat on a little bench this little mentally handicap girl got away from her dad (who was buys looking at the wildlife) and payed us a little visit. All the visit consisted of was her coming over to Nate and pushed him, then walking away. It was odd, but she was handicaped so you just role with the punches. Then a little while later she comes to us again (we are the only people she strayed to) and stands in front of me and makes her noices smiles and puts her hand on my chest, it was sweet. Then she looks at Nate and without even giving him a chance to think about it, punches him in the nose, laughs and runs away. hahahahaha, it was so funny.. he was in shock and all I could say was that he was touched by a little angel who kinda had a thing for him. oh brother, it was hilarious.
Ocean Ave in Carmel
Well this photo was supposed to come second, but again with the issues.. While walking the beautiful beach of Carmel I had a boo boo. Within the first min. of being barefoot and feeling the amazing sand in my toes I pushed my foot right onto a skewer, driving it straight up into my foot, and pretty far. It hurt. But I was determined to take the beach walk so I trudged along... with a few breaks from walking by sitting on strong Nate's back- sweet man. And as the ocean does, it excited me and at one point out of my excitement I kicked that sweet man right where it counts... and Laurie just happened to be taking a photo of us at that moment... perfection.
Before the kick
Very cold water

We also took a day to drive up and down the Big Sur, and it was just as amazing as I had remembered. I feel so lucky to be able to experience such a beautiful place with my own two eyes.
This was the view from a little place we stopped at for lunch.

Update #2- Eighties party. It was my friends birthday and she decided to throw an eighties themed party at a roller skating rink-- fun. As you all know, I am a terrible roller skater, so my hand was glued to Nate's (by my sweat) the entire time. We picked up a decent amount of speed, and I never fell once. It was so much fun. But equally as fun to dress up...

This pic Nate was very proud of, he planned it just for you familia. The "W" is for "Wisconsin"

Update #4- Luis Miguel. Such an awesome experience to live out part of my childhood in real life. That beautifully voiced Mexican (I think) man sent shivers down my arms the hole concert, and Nate was so much fun to go with. Bless his heart, he didnt know a single word of any song and was the only white guy there. Literally the only white guy there. We looked for another of his kind- and there were none. LOL. But he was an amazing sport. As a matter of fact, he sang louder than most of the people. Wasn't singing in any language I have ever heard, but he was a singing. It was so much fun!

After the concert we were stuck in horrendous traffic (a gazillion latinos driving out of a small parking structure is never a good thing), so we made the most of it by taking photos of ourselves.
This is our Luis Miguel face... we are trying to be suave.
Here Nate is really stepping it up... with a mustache

Update numero something- (I have lost count)- we went to Vegas last month for a quick trip to get massages, have great food and see an amazing show - Le Rev. It was sooo much fun, and we laughed non stop.

Lastly- Valentines day.... Since Vday was the day after we got back from our trip to Carmel we decided to stay in, make food and enjoy each others company. Nate had beautiful flowers for me, a card worth keeping forever, chocolates and a bag of workout clothes. I made him a book from a place I found online that each page is a different thing you love about them (his book had well over 100- good sign I think). It was a wonderful quiet Vday, made me smile from ear to ear.

But my real present from Nate to celebrate the day of love was a beautiful watch from a lovely little store called Cartier. I knew he was giving it to me before he even purchased it (helped him pick it out) and he couldnt wait for Vday so I actually got it in Jan about 3-4 weeks before the holiday. But his presentation of it was perfection. We decided to go to the movies one night after work, so I met him at the Americana. Before the movie he was insistent on going to this deli for dinner. So we went, grabbed a table and ate meatball subs- delish. After the sandwiches the lady that was serving us asked if we wanted some treats for the movies. I thought it was strange a deli would have candy on hand for the movies, but whatever, its Nate and his company, so I guess that is normal. She comes out a little later with this....
my watch surrounded by candies, flowers and a little card. Nate was so excited and I melted. It was a wonderful kick start to a fantastic Valentines Day month.

  1. Haha! Thanks for representing W-I, Nate! Also loved the moostache pic! haha, poor guy, the only white dude. No worries though, he will blend soon. When Ryan and I are walking around Mexico and see Americans we always think, Wow, they look so foreign here. Silly us, we forget we are just as out-of-the-loop looking. Especially Fronk! Nate will have a white comrad soon!:)
Really, though, yayo, thanks for posting more pics from your recent adventures. Looks like you are having a lot of fun with life these days. What a fun start to the year. Soon to come... babies and puppies!
Ps, you can change the picture order by just dragging it up to the middle of the upper picture, using your cursor. Sometimes it can get a little tricky, as the picture doesn't want to move up!!
