Friends.

The past little while I have had the very lucky opportunity to be blown away by my amazing friends time and time again.  I have always thought I knew what it took to be a "good friend" but these great ladies have raised the bar and really showed me how valuable a friendship is.
Without getting too mooshy, I know I am going to have moments and memories from my wedding day that I will cherish forever and touch me for reasons I don't even understand yet, but let me tell you, the planning is doing just the same at the moment.  My Mom and sisters live in different states and countries which has left a lot of my wedding details and planning left to be done solo.  I am a very particular person, so the majority of the time I have liked doing things on my own, but there have been certain instances that having family around would have made the experience perfection.  In steps my dear girlfriends.

Memories not to forget:

The day Nate and I got engaged he surprised me with a lunch with my close girlfriends waiting at a restaurant.  Sharing the surreal experience with them all right away was so much fun, and I loved having their support and excitement.
I found my dress with sweet Sophie who took off from her office to meet me at a store and patiently and honestly watch me try on dress after dress.  The second I put on "the one" Soph's emotions started flowing, goosebumps showed up and we both looked at each other and knew we found the dress.  I LOVED finding my beaut and loved even more the company and heart I had in Sophie that great day.
Then it came time to schedule the celebrations.  After realizing my sisters are all out of town, without missing a step Pearl quickly stepped up and announced she wanted to put together my bachelorette party. She has been so precise and given the weekend so much thought and detail, I am totally blown away.  It meant so much to me to have someone take the challenge of coordinating our busy schedules and planning every part of my monumental girls trip.  Along with Dominique who has also generously stepped up the two of them have come up with a weekend I am SO excited to celebrate.  In fact, just the other night Pearl printed enough copies of the itinerary options for each of us at dinner to discuss what we all wanted to do.  There were links, costs, locations, recommendations.. it was incredible.

Yesterday I had scheduled a day of bridal, taken off the day and planned to do dress alterations and veil shopping with Nate's Mom.  Something came up where she was no longer able to come up to LA the day before the festivities.  I admit I was missing my family at this point as I didn't think veil shopping and first dress fittings was something the bride is supposed to do alone.  Before I could even fully express my disappointment my sweet Nate contacted my wonderful friend Tatiana who immediately agreed to take off work and drive to my fitting to be with me.  It was such a sweet and fun memory for me and I love that forever I will remember it as the day my great friend showed me how important it is to be there for one another.
I am so overwhelmed with gratitude for the great women I have in my life and the incredible examples of love they are.  They really help me be a better person, I love them all!
