Labor Day Weekend- San Diego

Ohhh lovely San Diego!!  Labor Day weekend was celebrated in style in the great San Diego with some friends and Nate's family.  We had so much fun.

HORSE RACES
I just LOVE the horse tracks.  I mean LOVE.  This is my second time this summer and I am pretty sure I could go weekly and still love it.  In fact- secret dream I already asked Natey-Poo for... a Seabiscuit of my own one day.  Fun!
There is a lot of energy at the tracks, people betting, good company, but my favorite part is the horse energy.  It is really kind of emotional to watch the horses give it their all as they run soooo fast past you.  Gets me all giddy inside.

On your marks.... get set...... ruuuuuunnnnnnn!!!

The Excitement!!

The Company...

San Diego Safari Zoo

We went to the zoo for the day in hopes of doing a safari ride and make friends with a Giraffe.  But seeing that it was a holiday weekend, everyone else wanted to do the same and they were sold out.  So we walked the park.  And honestly after being on a real life safari in Kenya, the walk was the way to go.  We go to see so much.  The zoo is amazing- like a normal zoo on steroids.  Loved It!

Trying to get a good jump picture- fail at "good" WIN at hilarious

Chilean Flamingos- I found my kind.  South American skinny legs!

The park is BEAUTIFUL.  So well done.

Can you spy the giraffe??  lol, it was supposed to be the focal point.

One of only 6 of these kind of Rhinos left in the world.  Too bad I cant remember what kind it is...
