RIP Pungkin Pi

While Nate and I were on our honeymoon the anticipated dreaded happened to my childhood family dog.  She went to heaven.  She wondered off to do her passing in peace and quiet and we were all very preoccupied in finding her to know she was ok.  After weeks of my parents and sisters diligently searching they found her curled up in sleeping position unharmed.

This amazing pooch deserves the respect of acknowledgement as she was the best dog who gave my family and I 19 loving years filled with memories.  Pungkin was born on July 28 years ago and through her life was able to travel (and live) internationally, travel around the country with us, and live the life on a horse ranch.  She was the sweetest most patient girl who would never hurt a fly.  Almost to a default.  As children and other dogs would roughly play with her, she would just take it and lovingly allow herself to be a source of entertainment.

She was quite ditsy at times, and always walked with a great deal of pride in her step.  Sometimes when Pungkin would know she did something wrong she would punish herself by sitting in a corner facing the wall.  We have no idea how she learned this, but she did, and it was always a dead give away we would be finding her no no shortly.

Pungkin's best friend was our cat Honey who made her eyes light up well into her old age.  The two cuddled, played and shared food, it was a true friendship.  Though the cat was her best friend, Pungkin held the title with most everyone that met her.  She spent countless hours laying with my sisters, parents and I when we needed extra love.  She played with us and made us laugh with her crazy antics.  She was a spunky dog who loved the outdoors and being with her family, and we are so blessed to have had her sweet spirit in our lives.

I love you Pungkin and will miss you always.

This pic is not her best, but it was one I had on my phone of her a couple years ago.  Gotta love the static hair. :)
