Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving!

This year Nate had the dreadful Black Friday to deal with at work thus leaving us Los Angeles bound for the holiday.  His Mother, sister and their men decided that ment they would bring the holiday to us, and we couldnt have been more thankful.

They all arrived the Wednesday before turkey day, and we kick started the weekend with a visit to our favorite local spot, the "Local Peasant" followed by game time which always puts us in tears of laughing.  The next morning we took the three pups and went on Nate's and my favorite hike in Fryman Canyon.  It is a solid hour hike up and down the hill with beautiful views of the city and a nice walk through a neighborhood.  This is Nate's and my second year doing this Thanksgiving day hike and we (along with so many other locals) completely enjoyed getting the metabolism jazzed before stuffing ourselves silly.

The rest of the day was spent cooking, eating, or lounging in our stretchy pants.  Lots of quality talking time, laughing and video watching.  Poor Nate had to take off at like 4 in the afternoon for his 24 hour over night shift at the office.  He is such a trooper, and though we were so bummed to let him go, it was impressive to see his dedication.

That Friday after Nate and I were done working we all went out to Sushi and then to get the worlds best feet massages.

It was a heavenly week with the family.  Wouldn't have asked for a better way to spend a day of gratitude but with those we are so grateful for.

That weekend Nate and I took off for a day and a half trip to Vegas with his Dad and Laurie.  It was a blast.  There was a lot of gambling (watching John gamble has to be one of my favorite things to do), tons of eating great food, shopping shopping and more shopping.  We love our travel buddies Laurie and John and always manage to have the best trips with them.  THANK you for great memories!
We are so cool... on vacation.. in Vegas... its only 12am...one is fassst asleep, the other is very busy watching an infomercial about shampoo.

Nate's family is about as good as it gets, we are both so very grateful for the relationships we have with each of you and the love and kindness you share.  To my family, miss you all and are so very grateful for your amazing selves as well.  This year for Thanksgiving I have to say, it exemplified what Nate and I are most grateful for... Family.  Love you all amazing people!
