The Franks

I just got back from the most wonderful weekend in Mexico with three of my favorite people.  This weekend Ryan and Hannah took me around to some of their favorite spots around their state and some surrounding states.  It was so fun to see what their life is like down there.  I was so proud at how acclimated they are and how normal they have made life in a foreign country.  May not seem like making normal is that hard no matter where you are, but believe me, fitting in in a foreign country is a feat everyone who does it successfully should be proud of.

Though spending time with my sister/best friend and my incredible brother and law is a treat of its own, I have to say spending time with my nephew Easton was heaven on earth.  Since I was the only visitor he and I had a lot of one on one time and bonded almost right away.  The kid is amazing.  So smart, extremely loving and gentle, very gifted in sports, and hilarious.  Leaving him was so hard, didn't feel natural and I have been fighting back tears since.

Easton learned my name while I was there but preferred to call me "Manya" and did so all the time.  Some things that I want to remember and melted my heart...
1- His counting.  He would say oone... tewooooo.. so perfectly and did so when he was requesting something to happen soon.
2- "Ball"- and his fascination and incredible skill of hitting balls, throwing balls, or throwing in the air and kicking the balls.  Never have you seen a round thing bring such delight to a little boy.
3- "Agua" (which he also says perfectly) and uses as a term for any kind of drink.  You can hear him say agua and shake his head yes constantly.  The boy loves to drink.
4- His love for his dog Violet and how he commands her attention and actions frequently by yelling out her name and telling her to sit with a stern voice.  Or throwing the octaves up a bunch and calling her with his angelic loving tone.
5- His rawr sound he made whenever he was being tough.
6- Easton will give you a big wet one WHENEVER you ask for a kiss... it is so yummy.
7- The way he pats the floor/sofa anywhere he wants you to go.
8- He calls his mom "Hannah" which cracks me up.
9- Give the boy any sort of lotion and he starts immediately smearing it in his hair.
10- His cool boy pose as he hits a baseball

The list could honestly go on forever.  He and I played so much together and I just fell head over heals.  What an incredible addition to my already perfect family he is.  Cant wait until I get to see him again soon.

Hannah and Ryan- Thank you for such a fun trip.  Loved the car rides, the tacos, our walk around El Centro, the relaxing time in the house.  Our fun day trip to shoe heaven, the home cooked meals.  The milk shakes!  The Tamales.  Running errands.  Eating eating and more eating.  And especially just spending time with you guys.  Such a great weekend and I love you guys!!
