My Valentine

This Valentines week (we made it a week- aw how romantic) was so full of love.  Nate and I romanced right for our first Valentines as a married couple.

Monday just so happened to be our 6 month anniversary (AMAZING how fast time flys).  For a while now Nate has mentioned wanting to make pizzas at home, so I took this as the opportunity to make a dream come true.  Ingredients included heart shaped pepperonis, and there was of course a slew of romantic love like desserts as a reward for our cooking.  After work I ran home curled my hair (because boys like curled vavavoom hair right?) and prepared the home.  I had so many candles set up I was kinda risking a fire hazard, but paired with fresh flowers, it was beauuuuutiful.   (side note... Nate came home from class a little earlier than expected so I told him he wasn't able to come in yet- I wasn't through putting on the red lipstick- but that Parker needed a walk.  To make sure Nate didn't sneak a peak at my little restaurant I had going on I tied Parker to the door outside and told Nate to come get him.  Well the neighbor just happened to be walking out before Nate could get to the door and he awkwardly was trying to settle our dog and as Nate approached he frantically was like- ah, your dog is tied up outside... I am sure our reputation is stunning with the neighbors.  lol)  Needless to say, Nate and I had a wonderful evening celebrating the beginning of Vday week and our 6 month mark.

Then comes Thursday, Valentines day.  Nate happened to have class again this eve (which brings him home at 10:30pm- too late to really do anything).  So instead the day was filled with thoughtful gestures, which I decided is just how the day should be spent.  There were gifts and love notes on bathroom mirrors, gifts and love notes in cars, heart shaped lunch delivered, flowers delivered, romantic gestures, all sorts of little reminders of love.  Sounds cheesy, but it was actually perfect.

Friday night was date night for Valentines.  We went to one of our favorites- Mr. Chow.  One of be best date nights of 2013 thus far :)
