I adore Sundays. And as the weather in LA is nearing spring perfection.. I love Sundays even more. Since I work a lot of Saturdays, Sundays are often my only day off which definitely makes the day glorious, but even more than that, it seems Nate and I know just how to make the most of the day of rest.
This Sunday Nate and I drove out to Malibu and hiked the Escondido Falls trail. You walk with ocean views and spectacular homes everywhere for the first portion, and then through woodsy areas for the second half until you get to the "waterfall" (or far more like water droplets). We have been trying really hard to be an active family, so all together the hike was so pleasant and a nice change from our typical hikes.
We paired the hike with lunch in Malibu followed by a group dinner with a few couples at the Bishop's home and then a skype session with my whole family.
Doesn't get much better than that!
It was EXTREMELY windy in Malibu. Like might blow you away windy...
Please note the disgusting stream to the right of Parkman. Yup, the second the leash came off he decided a dip in the muck was necessary. Joy.
The waterfall. Cant see it? Neither could we. lol
We did that hike once in November and the waterfall was still pretty pathetic...lol There is 2 pretty good waterfall hikes in Pasadena you should try next time :) There is also one in Thousand Oaks I've been wanting to try, we should go!!
