Baby on Board!

Nate and I have the most exciting news we have ever had the pleasure of sharing together.

WE ARE GOING TO HAVE A BABY!

We found out on September 28 (at only like 3 weeks- this long wait started super early for us) when I did the stick thing and eyes fell to the ground when two lines appeared. I always thought I would be so super cute when I told Nate, but instead I could hardly contain my excitement and shock and went running out of the bathroom to Nate asking if he saw what I saw.  After test numero uno we sat in bed (silently and staring into space) drinking water until 1 in the morning when I was ready for test numero 2.  After a total of 5 home tests and a visit to the doctor… It was confirmed… We are having a baby.
Nate and I could not be more thrilled, and in the strangest of ways we are already madly in love with our little peanut.  It is really mind blowing the entire conception and pregnancy process.  It has been a really humbling, reverent, exciting time for us in our home and we are very excited to finally share our great news.
Baby Smith due to meet this world first week of June 2014!
We are so excited to meet you little baby.

Oh the peed on stick.. We have like 5 pictures that look exactly like this.  Takes a bit to convince me.  lol

These are from our First Trimester Ultrasound appointment.  Seeing this babe is my new most favorite thing.  Show me that baby's heart beat (or better yet, let me hear it) and my whole world lights up.  We have been lucky enough to get an ultrasound at every appointment we have had, but with a more simple machine.  So this was our first appointment with an ultrasound technician where they did their checks to make sure baby is developing well.  I cried (hormones are running WILD these days), and Nate finally figured out what he was looking at.

This seems questionable to me.  A little large to only have just been developed.  I am guessing it is the umbilical cord or something.  Nate on the other hand is one proud papa of his "boy".  The tech guessed 80% it's a boy... we shall see..

How the majority of my days are spent the past two months.  In bed, cuddled up with my pooch so sick it is hard to even move.  Morning sickness was not kind to me with this pregnancy.  Now that I am in the 2nd trimester I am anxious for more relief (it has started to ease off a bit thank goodness), cause mama cant take much more of this stomach drama.

First belly photo!  Sometimes I look down and think sheesh I am HUGE for being this early on.  Other times I am bummed because I think I should be showing more.  Either way, I am really looking forward to this belly of mine getting bigger.  It means I am that much closer to meeting my sweet little one.  I can hardly wait!
