Cirque du Soliel

IRIS

My sweet friend Will gave Nate and I tickets to a wonderful performance of Iris at the Kodak Theatre last week.  Iris is the new Cirque Du Soliel show being permanently housed here in Los Angeles.  I am a die hard Cirque fan, have been to 5 (O, Ka, Mystere, Le Reve, Kooza) and am enchanted each time.  I had heard mixed reviews of Iris so did not go in with any expectations... and was enchanted all over again.  There is something so magical about these shows.  I like to look at them just as they are called- a circus- and it is amazing the 'freakish' talents of these performers.  The music is breathtaking, costumes- captivating, stage- incredible and the performers are magical.  It sounds so silly, but every time I go to these shows they move me in an almost emotional/spiritual way.  That is so earth wind and fire of me to say... but true.  Just a very wholesome and awesome experience to be a part of, I truly love them and Iris knocked it out of the park.
