Haydee + Nate: Baby Shower

Karly and Barbara put on an absolutely perfect baby shower last weekend for baby boy. Loads of Nate's family was there, some amazing friends, and Leslie and family & Laverne and family. The amount of love and support at these baby showers is overwhelmingly amazing. We were so spoiled from each individual that was there and couldn't feel more pleased to bring our son into such an incredible family and group. We are so blessed.

The theme of this baby shower was baseball. I am overflowing with lovely hormones these days, and was so touched with how much Karly and Barbara incorporated Nate and his childhood into his boy's shower. They had his old base balls everywhere for decoration, his USC number hidden on signs, ball park snacks, and phrases in each place you looked. As the set up process was happening, Nate ran around like a kid in a candy shop. He took me by the hand and proudly showed off all the little things that comprised so much of his life for so long. I loved watching him come to life over the details, and was touched his mother and sister were so detailed with so much that makes Nate, Nate. It is really special that my Nate gets to share these excitements with his own son soon.

Great weekend, great people, great purpose, great memories. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone, but especially Karly and Barbara for all of their hard work and planning. We are so in love with that whole day.

The always thoughtful Karly had a birthday cake for Calvin since his birthday was the next day. Calvin, we learned, is not a fan of being the center of attention and was a total stinker, but it was great to let him blow out his candles.
